I started these from seed, they are a little over a year old π
I'm curious if anyone else has done the same and how long it has taken them to get to "trunk" size for the tree? My hope is to use it for bonsai when it gets bigger.

Funny enough, I have seeds that Iβm about to plant. And you need a very very large pot or to plant your tree in the ground to increase the trunk size. It makes a dramatic difference. The difference in between one years grow can be like your pinky finger to your big toe difference depending on the species of tree your climate and a bunch of other things but yes, inground is what youβre wanting for fastest trunk.

Iβve not done a blue jacaranda from seed, but I have done maples. Those take about 3-5 years, maybe a bit sooner if you can push with fertilizing and letting the roots grow a lot. Consider planting it in a fabric container in the ground or larger pot for a few seasons.
