My Morning Beauty is dying fast and I’m not sure why

Y’all my plant is struggling real bad lol. I do NOT have a green thumb and I always heard succulents are easy to take care of so I (stupidly) challenged my bf to see who could keep a succulent alive longest… well his is thriving and mine, well- mine looks like this. I’m following the water schedule so idk what’s wrong with it😭 I can assure you guys it’s not a ghost plant… that’s what my boyfriend’s is. She’s just struggling THAT bad lmao.

The soil looks like it holds too much moisture. I would repot in terracotta with a well draining cactus/succulent mix. Mine is in a south window and I only water about every 2-3 weeks during the summer, and I try not to let water touch the leaves.

@MamaLinne yikes on my part. There’s not a great way to water it without it touching the leaves so I just watered in the center…
