Hi how do i get rid of white bug stuff on my string of pe...
If you see your succulent leaves turning yellow, dropping leaves, or sooty leaves, aphids or mealybugs on your String of Pearls, then it shows insects have made a home in your String. To fix it, use an insecticidal soap or a spray of water to remove these insects.
I’d also try a spray mixture of Neem oil & water. Spray and clean them off. Go slowly. And be super patient. It may take several rounds for you to get them all off but do it sooner rather than later because those will get on your other plants and spread. I’ve been dealing with Scale on some of mine and it spreads fast!

Hi Janel! There’s no included picture, but I’m guessing you have mealy bugs. They’re very hard to remove from string of pearls. If you want to clean it you should work through it very slowly with a qtip and alcohol to remove them, and do that process every few days. I would avoid spraying insecticidal soap into the crown of the plant, as it is very easy to rot string of pearls, and there’s not any way to spray the top where they hide without drenching the soil.
For an easier solution, you can clean off the lower area of the pearls and chop and propagate them to start the plant over free of the pests.
