How soon after I receive a plant in the mail until I plac...
I just got this delivered this morning. It was shipped and got here in two days. Looks a little week, so I of course donβt wanna do anything now. How many days until I repot in its new home? Should I put it in a certain kind of light?οΏΌ when can I be a plant mom? #PinkPrincessPhilodendron
Don't put him on direct sun, since it was in box for who know how many days.
Leave it somewhere where it can get enough light but not direct.
I sugest bottom watering just a little, for it to absorb. Feel free to repot after maybe 3/4 days.
But I would leave it there if its roots aren't coming out on bottom.
For just few more days, till he aclimate to your home.
Btw that's such a lovely plant π₯°

I'm going to assume that's an expensive plant. I would keep it in its nursery pot for as long as you can while it's acclimating. Maybe even months; as long as the plant is growing and the soil is draining, there's no need to move the plant around unnecessarilyοΏΌ.
You can probably find a nice cover pot and just put the whole thing inside. οΏΌ

Molly, all the advice everyone else is giving is good.I have nothing to add except....
@sarahsalith you don't know about PPPs?!?

@RJG i was about to comment that! look at the designs on the leaf π
@LittleCrow thank you! I have two completely pink leaves Iβm so happy! Though I know they will die eventually lol. It has a great new variegated pink leaf about to open as well! I canβt wait for this baby to grow
@RJG π₯° thank you! I was so worried when I ordered it because I didnβt get a photo. Better than I expected :)
@LittleCrow @RJG Iβve been having a fungus gnat problem and will be using nematodes. Should I use this on this plant any time soon? Or donβt worry about itοΏΌ because itβs new?
@Kaleyeeaah if you have gnats on ppp.
I would sugest not to put new plant with others now. You don't know what is hiding in soil. π

@LittleCrow THANK YOU
@Kaleyeeaah your welcome. Im happy to help. π
@Kaleyeeaah I got my #pinkprincessphilodendron today. Much smaller than yours (6cm pot). Had to find a little plastic tub before I could water slightly, she's so tiny π will find a pink pot once she is bigger.
Will leave her as long as I can before she out grows her baby pot too per the advice above.
And will keep watching to see how yours progresses.Good Luck.

It's beautiful π I have two in my collection and each one has unique variegation patterns. Like the others, I suggested leaving it be for a while so it can get used to it's new home. You can always just sit the whole thing down inside your new pot if it fits. Shipping is stressful for the plant, as is repotting, so if you can keep it from dealing with both at the same time I think the plant would appreciate it π
@tmbryant37 thank you!
