Do you want to show off your #ScienceWithGreg? How bout w...

You heard right.....calling all #greggang #greggers #sciencewithgreg and #pothoswater enthusiasts to show off your science with Greg experiments!!!! I have a busy morning so I am starting us off early with a technically Saturday post.
I started a string of rubies prop and decided to compare side by side pothos water VS tap and see what happened.
I used 1 long cutting and made that 2. Left side is tap water and right side is 100% pothos water... @dreamlettuce I go big or go home 🀭).
I saw a little root on the pothos water side the VERY NEXT morning!!! My SOR is prolific but I have NEVER seen that. 🀩 Pics with black background are just now...the pothos water roots are so much thicker and longer.
I plan to place these cuttings in some soil and keep the waters the same....stay tuned.
Check it out!! Drop your science in the comments....I wanna see all the science happening in Gregville😊

Omg this is amazing!! Thank you so much for this @PlantEsteem! Although they’ve grown similar in length, you can definitely tell a difference in their firmness and thickness. I’ve noticed with my own cuttings too! The ones rooted in Pothos water have grown much more thicker and lighter in color compared to those that were rooted in distilled/tap/bottled water. Pothos really does promote healthy root growth! I love #ScienceWithGreg 🌱🀍

I’ll tag everyone I can so they can see this! Unsure if it’ll pop up on people’s feed due to the time it was posted, but I got you!! πŸ˜πŸ”¬πŸ§ͺ🌿
😱😱😱 I literally just started my experiments and @jcPlantProper was so lovely to pack 2 more pothos cuttings in my pothos order so I guess I have sooooo much to look forward to. No roots have done much growing yet but I hope to see many amazing things in the next few weeks!
@PlantEsteem wow this is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
I actually bought another pothos Thursday, I really want to experiment with different cuttings. I'm very leery of ordering online from anyone because I've had several plants delivered soaking wet, ending up with root rot and losing plants. So I'm going to do more with pothos cuttings and different plants that can be propagated. Dariana, you've inspired and encouraged me Soo much with #sciencewithgreg that it's on, I'm going to try all kinds of props with pothos.
This is soooooo cool!
Pothos water is fantastic!! You have really really put is on to something @kscape
I need to give my Moonlight Pothos a haircut and will be making some pothos water too!
@plantesteem and @kscape I’ve got a question. Is pothos water the water that you prop a pothos with or just water that you water the plant with?
Pothos water is the water your pothos prop is in. They release a water soulable rooting hormones that stay in the water and help other cuttings! Amazing stuff @TJphilobsessed
@Roserade Do it!!! Then show off your science!!!
@PlantEsteem ok. Thank you! I thought so but wanted to be sure before starting the science project! πŸ˜‚πŸŒ±
@Roserade I didnt even know there WAS a Moonlight Pothos!
@kscape Thanks for having my back....I'll get better at this mass post thing next saturday...🀣
Love this #ScienceWithGreg tag so much! Always brings a smile to my face. #Gregville πŸ”πŸŒ±
@TJphilobsessed maybe I have it wrong!
Here’s my Albo cutting July 18 to today, it’s propagating in water with my silver satin pothos.
@Roserade thise roots are looking so good!!! Nice work πŸ₯°πŸ˜πŸ€©
This is so cool!! Looking forward to the results!
@Roserade definitelt a moonlight! I have one too and is exactly like it!
@TJphilobsessed Yes, @PlantEsteem explained perfectly! I just collect the water after I change it, use a strainer to remove any gunk and then it’s ready to use! I dilute mine 50/50 distilled but for the name of science, you can try anything!
@Sassylimey I can’t wait to see your GP cuttings posts! Please tag me πŸ˜πŸ’•
@PlantEsteem lengthy posts get easier with time bahahah 🀣🀣 you did amazing!
@lazyplantparent. Awww ....smiles are the best payment! Glad this post could help with that πŸ˜…

I haven't started my Pothos science experiment yet.... I'm currently seeing if I can prop my #PPP in water and Sphagnum Moss. Currently we are successful.

I do got a prop vase full of water my wild giant Pothos has been sitting in with FAT roots here lemme show y'all this #rootporn. This'll make for some good prop water....also why are these roots so fat 🀣
