Should the flowers droop or is that a lack of hydration?

That looks okay, but I would try maybe a little more sun exposure and see if that helps a bit.
@Desertbamboo Welcome to the Greg community! Daffodil blooms in pots typically fall off after they have finished flowering for the season, which usually happens in late spring or early summer. The leaves will continue to grow, and you should allow them to mature and naturally yellow before cutting them back. This allows the bulbs to store energy for the next year's blooms. Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Blooming Period:
Daffodils bloom once a year, typically in the spring.
Post-Bloom Care:
Once the blooms fade, you can remove the flowers by deadheading them. Leaf Growth:
The leaves will continue to grow, and it's important to let them turn yellow naturally before cutting them back.
Leaf Function:
The leaves are crucial for storing energy in the bulbs, which is needed for the next year's flowers.
Cutting Back:
Avoid cutting back the foliage too soon, as it can reduce or eliminate future blooms.
Timing:
You should wait at least six weeks after the blooms have died before cutting back the foliage. Storage/Transplanting:
Once the leaves have died back, you can either store the bulbs in a cool, dark place until fall or plant them directly in the garden. Hope this helps, Happy Growing!!
