Azalea Sickness?

Hey guys, we recently got our first azalea on sale in February. We noticed the leaves and flowers were turning brown if we didn’t water it super often, but would saturate out and perk back up after watering. We repotted it to a bigger pot for room, thinking maybe the roots were suffocating. I also combed the root ball a bit so it wasn’t so tight. However as we were in the process of moving, Orlando here got really dry and crackled but the soil was saturated. I pruned off the dead heads and rewatered. The leaves are dry and brittle but still green just really dull. There’s also this weird fuzzy thing on the ends of the branches and I am unsure how to treat it.
0ft to light, indirect
7” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
the fuzzy growth just looks like some struggling new shoots, but i’m not familiar with azaleas
Yep I bet it’s the pot that is the problem. They are blooming shrubs and really need to be planted outside in the ground. I have never seen one grown successfully indoors.
@UndoubtedMostii thank you!
@Hoyaobsessed gotcha, well thank you so much!
