Do I need to do anything?

My duckweed has been growing like crazy and now takes up the whole top of my aquarium and is now starting to grow on top of itself. The aquarium holds shrimp and snails. Should I remove some of the plants? Or just let it be?

I would recommend thinning it out a bit. When I had duckweed, once it reached a certain thickness, it seemed to start drying out and not looking as nice. If you have any other plants in the tank, they’d appreciate having a little more light shining through, too.
Typical duckweed control does include thinning out when the water surface is taken up. A hair pick works well.
