Is my desert rose dying? Or dormant?
Went away on vacation and friends watered but I came back and the leaves have yellowed and the stalk is even yellowing. The base is firm and doesn’t feel soft like it’s lacking water. Thoughts?

It’s not likely gone dormant since it is by a window. Water less and ignore it let it rest and come spring it will sprout more vigorously and once again be beautiful.
Mine do this every winter and I’m in California, they just need a resting phase.
