Mimosa plant.
Hi guys, I bought this mimosa plant a week ago and i kept it in my window where i have no direct sun. And today i noticed that the leafs were looking like they are burning. So I repoted it in a little bigger pot and kept it inside next to my window. I hope it will work but I would like to have some suggestions, I don't want to kill this plant.

They NEED a ton on humidity 60-80% or else they just sort of shrivel. If you can put it in a terrarium, you can just pop the whole pot in one if you want. Otherwise cover it with a clear plastic cup, ziplock bag or anything else you can find. That's what it needs humidity locked in around the leaves.
Otherwise right next to a humidifier. That will really be your only way to keep it thriving.
I use glass cookie jars from wal mart that are reall cheap and just glass.

Yes, you can keep it in a window as long as it's not south facing. But if not is south facing window than a sheer curtain will help to keep it safe. It will always need a terrarium setting. For my larger plants I actually use reptile terrariums. They are big enough for my larger plants and are much cheaper than anything listed plant terrarium. Fish tanks etc also work and you can find them cheap.
I've ended up using creative containers that I had on hand or found cheap as long as it is translucent it works âĪïļ

My terrarium collection has grown from accidentally buying plants that only survive very humid environments. After trying unsuccessfully to increase humidity in my home to suitable amounts. They have been relegated to terrariums where they have come back strong. Since I live in a very dry area on CA a humidifier was just not enough for some.
@PiousCentro9 I do that's only 1 room. I'm a bit addicted and my collection has grown through the years.
