What’s happened?!

My plant was looking happy and healthy yesterday morning and looks like this today - any ideas what caused this would be greatly appreciated #ShowyStonecrop

Yikes 😬 did something eat the crap out of it!!! Check for caterpillars, grasshoppers, slugs etc. It almost looks like an animal tried munching on it and didn’t like it very much. Do you have deer? Or a cat?

It looks like something might be munching on it! We have a lot of bunnies in our neighborhood and they destroyed one of my sunflowers. I had to fence it off so they couldn't get to the remaining ones. My cat also likes to eat my indoor plants, I had to put them in a separate room.

@MariansOasis That’s what I thought but it’s high up on our deck, no sign of caterpillars etc

@GinQueen hmm 🤔 that’s weird. Anything possibly got on it that maybe could have caused this? Cleaning solutions? Someone using paint remover like turpentine nearby and the fumes were too close? It does look like an animal chewed it. Like @JovialCaitlin said perhaps something that can get up on the deck?? 🤷‍♀️

@GinQueen I'm glad you found the soure! We use a netting shade cloth to protect our plants from our dogs who love the leaves. You might be able to use something similar to help protect your plants!
