HELP!!! Can I spray 3% food grade or regular Hydrogen Per...

Yes. 3% is the recommended strength.

ðŸŒŋ Good Luck! ðŸŒŋ
Without diluting it?
Absolutely not!!!! It will burn your plant. You have to dilute it one part of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 4 parts of water.

When you water your plant there'll be some sizzling. That"s normal, that's the chemical reaction to H2O and O2. That chemical reaction is harmless to your plant, but will kill the eggs and larvae of fungus gnats. You have to repeat the treatment every second watering until the gnats are gone.
@plantstate you have to dilute with water 1:4
@SvelteKingfern. Yes, I've always used 1 part HP to 4 parts water. 1 cup HP and 4 cups water etc I'm just so angry at this out of the blue infestation I was hoping to zap them into oblivion. (That sizzling is way cool BTW.🙂). Okay. Picking up a ton of HP tomorrow. What a project that will be. I think they may have come from a bag of potting soil I left open. Out of blue I tell you. Thank you @SvelteKingfern and thank you @justplaindee.
Guess we both learned to NEVER use hydrogen peroxide full strength even if the demonic gnats are driving us insane.
Undiluted 3% hydrogen peroxide bleaches hair to yellow or white. It's too strong.
This happened to me too. I bought fresh soil, it was a good soil. I used part of it, and left the rest in a shed. I needed some soil 3 months after. The larvae were lying around in hundreds. YUUUUUCK.
Definitely use the HP solution. Then for preventative measures:

Get a spray bottle (like 24 oz).

1 1/2 tsp neem oil
1 tsp Castile soap
3-5 drops peppermint oil
1 L water
Mix in spray bottle

I spray my soil down with it. It makes a great leaf cleaner and pests HATE the peppermint and flee. I use it monthly, minimum on all my plants.
😊 thanks April. Sounds like a great recipe
