Saggy aglaonema tricolor
I bought this Aglaonema Tricolor, thinking it would thrive like my other plants. However, I noticed today that itβs looking unhappy. Is there anything I should do to care for it? The weather has been cold lately, so Iβm wondering if the issue is due to temperature or humidity. #Aglaonema #aglaonemapictumtricolor

@Leaf2plant Aglaonemaβs enjoy dappled light, warm temperatures, and moist, humid conditions. They prefer soil that is well draining. I make my own mix using equal parts potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark. Aglaonema pictum tricolor will not tolerate temperatures below 60Β°F and enjoys humidity above 65%. This likely means if itβs cold where you are and you are running your heater, there may not be enough moisture in the air around the plant which is causing it to wilt . I would definitely upsize your pot because it will outgrow that one fast. Maybe 5 or 6 inch. In addition any humidity-loving plant will benefit from a pebble tray. Some signs a plant might benefit from a pebble tray are browning leaf tips or leaf edges that are getting crispy and wilted foliage or curled leaves. You might try to place your plant on a pebble tray filled with water to help increase the moisture around your plant. Alternatively, place the plant in your bathroom on the counter while you shower which will definitely provide it humidity. I have several of these plants. I just ordered a Pictum to add to my collection and I canβt wait till it arrives Monday!!!
