Sunburnt help?

My plant is new, in north window. Looks sunburnt? Can I just cut these leaves off?
4ft to light, indirect
5” pot without drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
Yes you can. Anthuriums are able to regenerate leaves so long as their crown is intact
@Araceae should I move her away from the window? Maybe a few feet?
In general they don't like direct sun. They can survive, even put up a flower [andraeanum like yours just puts out flowers in whatever conditions], but not ideal
@IdolSeasandwort move it to a shaded place. Water it but don’t overwater it. Cut the dead leaves and let it regenerate. It enjoys bright indirect sunlight
@IdolSeasandwort Hey Kelsie, I agree with the comments above from @Araceae and @Gustavo and if a flower is getting it’s leaves burnt then it is clearly getting too much direct sun (and it’s a shame to lose all that photosynthesis area as it’s what gives your plant energy) so certainly you can cut off the dry and dead parts but I always try to keep the green as it’s still making some energy for the plant until it too dies off. It may be worth checking the light intensity levels eg with a light meter app and finding the recommended (eg PPFD) levels ideal for your plant
@Seymour Amen! Green = Photosynthesis!!! @IdolSeasandwort
