Chinese Evergreen

@Colin have you found it difficult to locate pics or information on this particular variety of Chinese Evergreen?
I have found it was also called ‘Green-for-ten-thousand-years’. @autummmn since you obtained your plant from your grandmother, have you found any other place to find this variety?
5ft to light, indirect
2” pot without drainage
Last watered 3 years ago
I think this one is called aglaonema modestum, but take that with a grain of salt! It's so hard to find good info on the different cultivars, especially since so many are similar.
@noodles yes, it’s a ‘modestum’. Whenever I Googled that, it never comes back with the same leaf as ours. For a long time, I doubted it was really a Chinese Evergreen. I think it’s because there are so many newer varieties. I thought it was interesting that @autummmn got her piece from her grandmother, and mine came from an elderly woman over a decade ago.
Hey @Delaine sorry I just saw this one! Mine is opening up a white flower and my initial thought was that mine might be a peace lily instead of a Chinese evergreen. Maybe @Kiersten would have more insight here?
@Colin mine bloomed as well. It took about 10 years before it bloomed.
@Colin and yes, the bloom resembles the bloom from a Peace Lily.
