@Araceae I have noticed itβs the newer leaves that are that pale bright green color, and the older ones are very dark and deep in color, itβs been giving me a TON of new growth. Iβve just been worried maybe needs more fertilizer? Or too much sun? Or if theyβll darken up in time naturally and theyβre just young
They do get brighter with more sun. But even though they are marketed as low light plants, they really like sun to a certain degree. In my window spot my Maranta flowered like crazy. Now I'm a more shade spot, not at all. Also: as long as the leaves don't burn or take damage, why not have them a bit brighter π€·ββοΈ
Though they do require *some* fertilizer, I've heard of several people on here that very easily burned the roots, which confirms for me that they only like very little of it.
I've had mine putting out only really yellow new leaves (not like yours, really sickly yellow) a while ago, and once I upped the fertilizer that went away. Mind you, though, I only use orchid fertilizer on it, which by its nature is very, very weak compared to others. And it was spending a lot of energy on the blooms at that time. They really don't need (nor like) a lot.
