9” pot with drainage

It was super happy, growing way to fast and roots were coming out of the bottom and top of the pot! I figured it was time to repot and give it a pole for its super long vine. I mixed up some potting soil with perlite, peat moss, compost, and a super chunky orchid mix per some recipes I found on here and online. The mix didn’t drain as well as it was supposed to, and I don’t think the pot had enough holes, so it was just sitting in moisture. One big old leaf started to yellow and the black dust started. A few days later I cut off the one leaf once it was completely yellow. Then another newer leaf started yellowing. I tried to get the soil to dry out faster. It kept declining slowly in some ways, but two new leaves still seemed to grow. Yesterday I repotted again to get it out of the moisture. Drilled a bunch more holes in the pot and added a bunch more perlite and chunky orchid mix in. Rinsed the roots and leaves. Roots looked good. Also, I didn’t bother to put it back on the pole for the moment trying to handle it as least as possible. Leaves are still yellowing and I think the black stuff is returning. The soil drains well now. Is it maybe compost burn? The compost I used was produced by the lomi earth mode which is supposed to be ready to use in plants. I also used a small amount of zoo poo (fertilizer/compost from the local zoo). I’ll try to add better photos in the comments when there’s more light.

@JungleDreamer I could possibly be tagging you looking for a poetic response about the use of zoo poo. 😉
@LadyArrowhead Hi Bonney, Welcome to Greg. I've tagged a few groups above with the # to get more people to provide advice. I used @ as a tag for a very knowledgeable lady with a flair for prose.
If it were me, I would remove it from the pot, rinse the current soil/media away from the plant, and spray the whole plant (roots and all) with a fungicide like Captain Jack's with Copper Sulfate. Then I would make up new soil - just a bag of miracle grow houseplant, adding extra perlite, and orchid bark should be okay to help keep it chunky. Personally I stay away from adding moss as it can hold too much water.
And yes, poo 💩 can burn. It's best used if and only when it has set out to rot for a full year. So no funky additives for me.
If you want to continue with the pole, that's fine.
Continue with fungicide spray as directed on the bottle for a few weeks, until new growth is no longer exhibiting black powdery coating. As appropriate, remove yellowing/dying leaves.
