The Japanese Money Plant was not trimmed or managed as it...

More light, less water! @debbiedo @SillyPlantGirl @ILoveMyPlants will help you, too
Hi Christina, I notice on your plant id tag you have it in direct sunlight and in a glazed pot? If this I correct, I would suggest a terracotta or UN glazed clay pot as those do not hold onto moisture like glazed clay. These guys don’t like wet feet. I don’t know what soil it’s in, but I might suggest a 50/50 mix of cactus/succulent and perlite. I also add a little coco coir and orchid bark. As for light, low light makes them leggy- stretching for more light, also- direct sun especially late afternoon sun can scorch the leaves. An east or west is preferred but south is ok if it has a sheer curtain to block those hot rays. Make sure to rotate every week so it grows “uniformly “, the plant grows towards the light. I would suggest a repot. Water it 24-48 hours prior to repot as that helps keep the rootball together and reduces shock to the roots. Pilea actually prefer to be tight in their pot, so I might suggest just giving it new soil- unless it’s root bound, then only go up 1-2 inches in pot size. No fertilizer for 4-6 weeks as new soil will have good nutrients. After repotting put it back where it was as moving it might cause more stress. I hope this helps. 🪴💕
Thank you!
