Is this ok?

I was gifted this #MinervaAmaryllis this Christmas and the bulb already had a stem. Should I clip this or leave it? #Amaryllis

I have an Amaryllis that blooms once a year around Easter, so I clip the green leaves down during the year and then closer to spring I let the leaves grow. It depends on when your Amaryllis blooms.

@NoblyMuntingia this is the first time I’ve had one and this is how it was in the box, so I’m not sure when it blooms.

I just bought this last week, kinda late, I guess. I trimmed off two stems that had blooms that were shriveled. Hopefully get a bloom this year? Otherwise, save for next year!
