Hello, Gumo!
I just bought my new little dude from Home Depot (yikes), but I truly couldn't leave him. He's absolutely adorable, even if he is a little crispy. In regards to that, I'm totally fine leaving him crispy if that's what's best, but should I tear off the burned sections? Will he replace those areas with new leaf tissue? I don't want to expose him to any infections if I don't need to, either. I'm not 100% sure what scorched him so badly. He was indoors and seemed to be out of direct sunlight, but you never know, and who knows what heavy chemicals they've sprayed him with. When I bought him, his jar was also bone dry, so he's definitely been without water for a WHILE.
For now, he's quarantining in the bathroom and away from the lucky bamboo until I know he's pest and fungus free :) No more direct sunlight for you, friendo!
Edit: I added a two second squirt of Super Green plant food to his water, which is why it looks like radioactive runoff. I figured with as long as he probably went without water, he could use a little extra boost.
