@ZippyMahoe I see you have it on a pebble tray so that is good but if you have it by a heater or anyplace near where warm air blows, it could be drying the leaves out. Also if you are watering with plain old tap water, I’d switch to distilled or filtered water. Tap water can cause browning on the leaves due to the chemicals that build up in the soil over time. Prayer plants can be real diva’s about their water and soil. I only use filtered water on my indoor plants. If you have to water with tap, leave it sitting out in an open container for 24 hours to evaporate all the chemicals before using it. The other thing could possibly under watering. Brown crispy tips generally can indicate under watering. Im not sure how often you water but I have my plant in a 6.5 inch pot. I water him 1 cup every 7-10 days. Your plant is a little larger so I’d say at least 1 1/2 cups water every 7-10 days. You can also set it in the bathroom while you shower for some added humidity. Your plant will thank you! I have a humidifier in the room where my plant is. I keep my humidity between 60-70%. I hope this helps you find a solution.
@ZippyMahoe I forgot to mention light. Make sure your plant is not in any direct sunlight. I have my plant about 3 ft from a south facing slider door window. He’s on the floor and sheltered by other plants so I also have grow lights back there. Place your plant at least 3 feet from a window that gets bright but indirect light throughout the day.
Thank you so much! I will be moving this plant as it is in the kitchen near the stove! πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ
@ZippyMahoe that could be the issue. Glad I could provide some insight to help.
I had this happen when I was over fertilizing last year. I stopped doing that and trimmed the burnt leaves off and it has since recovered.
