Fiddle leaf help!

My fiddle leaf has been dropping lots of its leaves recently and quite a few of them are developing these brown spots before dropping. I was wondering if yall have any ideas on what is going on?

Hello! There are a few possibilities. Overwatering and/or underwatering is always something to watch. However, this can also be due to environmental change- have you moved the plant and/or is it near an air vent that might have colder air turned on since it’s getting warmer? Lastly, it could be Fungal or Bacterial Leaf Spot. For that remove the affected leaves and spray the other leaves with a mix of baking soda and water, wipe the leaves dry- repeat 4-8 weeks (1x per week) good luck!
This looks like textbook overwatering to me, or more specifically the soil staying too damp for too long. What is your watering routine like? I see it's in a glazed clay pot, which are notorious for holding onto moisture. What type of soil do you have it in? Fiddle figs do best in well-draining mix that stays airy around the roots. Something like 2 parts potting mix, 1 part orchid bark, and 1 part perlite. Always check the soil prior to watering to make sure it's almost fully dried out. A moisture meter or wooden chopstick can really help with this. I'd also recommend moving it to a standard plastic nursery pot. The thin plastic walls allow more airflow to the roots, and they have tons of drainage holes at the bottom, which helps the soil dry out faster.
