Well that would depend on several things. The type of plant and the climate where you live are the two biggest factors. Some plants can go much longer without water than others. And it would depend on whether "outside" means fun sun, shade, partial shade, etc. If you can share what plants you're talking about then we can give you advice on how to properly care for them if you go out of town.
