As a succulent it can withstand dryness quite easily. As it’s apparently outside it probably gets rain quite frequently which is why it’s so luxurious! But if you want to know if the soil is dry I like to use a bamboo skewer. You can get them in various sizes or use a chopstick. Insert it into the soil as deep as you can then pull it out and check how wet it is. Only water when the stick is very dry.
@BEsucculent thank you. The plant is not permanently outside only temporarily put her there to enjoy some more sun this plant stays indoors and used to be in a conservatory. Although we moved house and it doesn't get as much light. (Repotted since the move as she was very stressed)
