Are the mouths supposed to be standing also the mouths haven’t opened up in a while is that normal #VenusFlyTrap
0ft to light, direct
3” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 weeks ago
Did the traps close because they caught a bug or did they close without anything inside? If nothing was inside, they should eventually reopen. If they caught a bug, when they're done dissolving it the trap will die. Also, when you say they haven't opened "in a while", how long do you mean?

Typically if the plant is getting enough direct light and isn't being overwatered, the traps should mostly be standing up. They don't have to be perfectly straight, but they also shouldn't be lying flat and droopy on the soil. I see on your plant card it says it's getting 3-6 hours of direct light, but then it also says it's in a north-facing window. If you're in the northern hemisphere, a north-facing window doesn't get any direct sun. The best place for a Venus Fly Trap is outside in full sun for 6+ hours a day. If it absolutely has to be indoors, it should be in either a south or west-facing window, which get the most hours of sun and the most intense sun.

Just to confirm, have you been using distilled water only and is it planted in a nutrient-deficient medium (such as sphagnum moss)?
Yes I have been using distilled water and it’s planted in a peat moss. I have now moved my plant and it’s starting to look a lot better. Thank you
