Yes, especially if they will get a few hours of direct sunlight. Most herbs need a good amount of sunlight.
A window with 5 hours of direct sunlight will be ok...6 or 7 hours would be better.
Watch out for spider mites! If they become a problem take your planters to the sink and use the spray nozzle (cold water) to wash the herbs and pot...spider mites drown easily. Then wipe down the window and surrounding area to remove any wanderers. Use a horticultural oil to kill any further mites or insects and their eggs.
