It might be dormant? Idk if fiddle leaf figs can do that but where I live lots of plants go dormant for the winter so maybe something like that?
@CarefreeRedpine that could be it,it’s been inside through the summer.
@FunTutsan43 It’s not a good idea to leave those two plants in the same pot long term. Because a fiddle leaf fig and a spider plant will not thrive well together in the same pot. While they can temporarily survive side-by-side, their different care needs and root habits make this a difficult pairing for the long term. Why the Pairing FailsWater Needs: Fiddle leaf figs (Ficus lyrata) prefer to dry out several inches down before getting a deep soak. Spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) like more consistent moisture and can suffer if forced onto a strict, dry-out cycle. Root Competition: Fiddle leaf figs have sensitive root systems that dislike crowding or physical disruption. Spider plants grow thick, tuberous roots that rapidly fill a container and fight for available space and nutrients. Light Dynamics: A fiddle leaf fig requires bright, direct light near a sunny window. If placed underneath the fig's large canopy, a spider plant will likely experience stunted growth due to deep shade. Better Alternatives Separate Pots: Keep each plant in its own container with proper drainage so you can tailor water and fertilizer individually.Grouping: Place their separate pots close together on a tray or plant stand. This boosts local humidity without causing root conflict.
@FunTutsan43 Because you can’t grow a fiddle leaf from just a leaf. It might grow roots, but if there is no node or growth point on it, then it won’t ever grow into a new plant. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I also agree with Monika @Ms.Persnickety a FLF should not be potted in the same pot as a spider plant, nor most other kinds of plants really πŸ€”

Lastly, you will need to add a lot of perlite, orchid bark, coco chips, or other kinds of chunky soil amendments for your future potting endeavors. Roots need air pockets to breathe too ☺️
@Ms.Persnickety thanks for your help! I will separate them into two different pots!
@DreamMachine oh no! Okay, that is good to know about the fiddle leaf. And that’s what I thought with the spider plant, I’ll plan to separate them into two separate pots!
@FunTutsan43 do you remember the craze with the heart shaped hoya leaves? Kerri’s? They were super trendy, but a lot of places wanted to cash in, so they sold them with no nodes, so they would literally just be a leaf in a pot, forever πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ β€œZombie Leaves”
