To trim a purple passion plant (Gynura aurantiaca), which is fast-growing and often gets leggy, prune stems just above a leaf node using clean scissors or your fingers. This encourages branching for a fuller, bushier shape, prevents breakage from overgrowth, and allows you to propagate the cuttings. Take your cuttings and place in water. They will root and very easily.
