VFT Bug issue

My VFT is starting to get out of dormancy and I noticed it was growing a lot slower than my other fly trap. while this may just be for various reasons, it caused me to inspect it further, and I have found tiny white bugs all in the soil. The bugs are extremely small and move fast so it was hard to get a photo but I promise it’s a photo of a bug πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ»οΏΌοΏΌοΏΌ #PestControl οΏΌ #VenusFlyTrap
@AdelynPlants123 Those are spring tails their beneficial to eating mold fungi and dead plant matter although too much of them in a high population could end up eating your plants roots and the plant itself so i would advise you not to water your plant too much.
That would make since because I have been out of town for a while and a family member has been watering my plants for me. And I think my VFT has been a little overwatered. Thank you for your insight.
@AdelynPlants123 You're welcome.πŸ™‚πŸ‘
