My plant is looking really down. I have been watering her...

#Dieffenbachia
5ft to light, indirect
5” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
this usually has to do with watering, temperature, and/or lighting. but we can rule out watering and soil problems. hmm… this doesn’t look specifically like a lighting problem. and if you’ve had it for a bit… not temp either unless there were some changes? I was just wondering and this may not be the cause, but how are the roots doing? pests?
to add onto that… that plant is truly beautiful and I couldn’t imagine it looking its best. you should be proud. I hope she recovers and you can find out what happened!
Hi Brenda, several things I would do. First of all, give your plant the chopstick test that is place a chopstick down the soil away from the roots if you pull the chopstick up and there’s dirt on it it has enough water. Secondly, it may be too close to the window. If you have it near window, place your arm next to the plant at the same distance from the window. If it’s too much heat on your arm, it’s too much heat on your plant. I hope this helps. Good luck. πŸ‘
