Looks like Spider mites
@FleurishVA ok, do I spray neem oil on??
Yes, make sure you get the underside of the leaves and the soil as well. I would repeat that weekly. I was dealing with these and I started spraying all my plants weekly and it seems to be working.
Hi Ilaria ๐Ÿ‘‹ yeah definitely douse your plants with neem oil solution, but you can only use it roughly once a week or your plants will suffer! That said, you can gently spray you plant in the shower in between to wash off the little critters!!

I would DEFINITELY isolate that plant immediately though... Get it away from your others, because they will jump from one to the next and before you know it your whole oasis could be infected! Xx
@Ninabeena thank you! How long have you been doing this for?
@JenniB81 gosh this is the biggest plant I have, I only have 2 rooms with windows so not easy to isolate. Do you think that keeping this plant alone on a surface in a corner, 2.5/3mt away from the other plants will be sufficient? I donโ€™t have more space ๐Ÿ™ˆ
Hi, Ilaria, they aren't spider mites, they are aphids. But treating the plant daily for the weeks will eradicate them in all their life cycles.

I am a fan of #Natria. Neem scares me- I've heard so many horror stories. Natria is gentle enough to use daily on your plants. But I just saw where you are and it might not be available there.

You'll want to treat all the plants in that area becuase those bugs travel. If you have a place you can put your plant, like a shower, you can spray it off well. But you'll still need to treat all the plants at least every other day for two or three weeks to be safe.
@sarahsalith thank you so much! I can have a look for an alternative plant soap :) in the meantime I sprayed the whole plant with neem oil because thatโ€™s what I have at the moment.. this plant is max 3mt away from the other plants in the same room and I have 4 plants around it that I will treat as well. To be safe, I will treat also the other plants in the room, hoping itโ€™s enough! What do you think? I donโ€™t know how far they travel! Little suckersโ€ฆ..
@SoundlyAnahaw I would treat all the plants in the room. Those little aphids are large enough so see so they've been there a little while.

Just be vigilant and continue treatment according to the neem directions until you see none ... then do it another week. (:
Yeah I'm with @sarahsalith Hun, just treat all the plants in that room! Lol... I have space issues too and whilst isolating is the preference, it isn't always practical is it? (& In reality, you're always best treating too many plants than not enough! Especially with winged beasties like aphids - great call Sarah! ๐Ÿฅฐ - and gnats!) xxx
@JenniB81 thank you all!!! Iโ€™m showering all the plants with diluted neem oil, I did the first treatment a couple of weeks ago due to mealybugs so I guess I will just continue for a few weekends!
Definitely! Lol ๐Ÿคฃ I find a regular spray with neem solution helps to keep the beasties away! Haha xx
@JenniB81 good to know, I only used a regular bug killer for a couple of years, so I guess it had to happen eventually ๐Ÿ˜‚
It's an occupational hazard unfortunately ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿคฃ it doesn't matter HOW careful you are... Sooner or later you'll get besties! Lol ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฌ but we're always here to help with the best ways to tackle them! Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ my speciality is dealing with fungus gnats!! (I've had plenty of experience!) I've just been lucky so far not to have had trips, spider mites, mealy bugs... Etc etc. lol but loads of people on here have dealt with all of the above! So don't panic if you spot hitchhikers ๐Ÿฅฐ just post and we'll try and help! Xxx
