There are many reasons … but I personally think that it’s the lack of sunlight. 7 ft away from light is quite a lot but it could also be overwatering. In summary, check the soil/roots for root rot or pests, place closer to a window because this type of plant generally appreciate the sun and just keep an eye out for any improvements!! :)
Yellowing leaves typically indicate a watering issue.
The type of water you are using or how often you water it.
May even be due for a repot especially if the roots are overcrowded it can cause overwatering easier.
