@MeekBasil80 That bottom leaf was probably just doing what older aloe leaves do best retire early and rot dramatically. πŸ˜… It’s super common for outer, lower leaves to break down over time, especially if…It stayed damp at the base (common in plastic pots) Light isn’t reaching deep into the plant (6.5 ft from a window is a bit of a hike). It’s an older leaf (they’re basically the plant’s expired coupons). No pests + only one leaf = probably not a big deal. Just trim it off cleanly and keep an eye on watering. Since it’s in a plastic pot and indoors, moisture hangs around longer than you’d think even after 9 days. If it keeps happening though? Might be time to move it closer to the light and double-check for airflow or soggy soil at the base. But for now, Sanders just had a little aloe drama.
I really appreciate you, Nancy! You've quelled my stress very much. I will try and see what I can do as far as lighting and all of that goes if it keeps happening.
