You're sure it's a Pagoda Flower right? The following should only apply to outdoor plants, like Pagoda Flower, not indoor plants.
These generally require at LEAST shade. That by itself is already considered brighter than most of your home. Best, you put it where it can get at least 4-6hrs of sun. It IS an outdoor plant after all. Be sure that humidity is at least 60% too, and temperature at LEAST 24ยฐC [might be able to tolerate down to 18ยฐC]. Also get it a large pot eventually [not immediately], they're technically a medium-large shrub.
Fun fact: in Malay their name directly translates to 'Chicken Poop Flower', due to the fact that when crushed, the leaves smell as such
