@-kelpmuncher ~ They say itβs best to wait a few days after getting it so it can settle in! As long as the pot has some drainage holes, you can leave it or repot it! Iβve had mine for a while now, just repotted it to this little white pot, gave it some fertilizer, and now itβs sending out some babies for me! Maybe even giving me some lovin π₯° See that?! β₯οΈ
Hi @-kelpmuncher Iβd leave it in the nursery pot for a couple of reasons. If you just got your plant it takes a minute for them to aclimate to the surroundings, if you unpot something right away you run the risk of shock to your plant. Itβs easier to water if you leave it in the nursery pot that you can remove, let drain and put back. Easier to up-pot when the time comes. In a year or two, when your bun bun has outgrown its original pot it will be so much easier to put it into a bigger pot if you keep it in the nursery pot. Less chance of breaking the catch pot and easier to clean that one for reuse. Of course, itβs all personal preference, but thatβs what I try to do. Iβve got a lot of ceramic and terracotta pots to clean out because I potted right into them rather than going the nursery pot route. Hope that helps! π
@-kelpmuncher Iβm with @JenniferWasham I still have both in the pots they came in . I only up my pot when cacti doubled in size . They like to be crowded . I have two bunny ear cactus that are producing babies . Good luck π
