What is the best way to water a succulent? When I try to water mine, the top of the soil gets wet but then if you move some of the top, it’s completely dry. The water runs through the sides of the pot and it goes out through the hole.

That typically means it's gone hyrdrophobic. Soak it for about 15 minutes to reacclimate the soil- my smaller succulents do this often!

@Succulent_Soul this can easily be fixed because your dry soil has become hydrophobic and shrunk away from the pot sides.
