@FullBogrhubarb I have some in planted in terracotta and some in plastic. I even have one in a hanging basket. Either way, the pot must have good drainage. Here is a link to a site that breaks it down for you. I hope you find it helpful. https://balconygardenweb.com/best-pot-for-spider-plant/#:~:text=For%20this%20purpose%2C%20terra%20cotta%20pots%20are%20a%20good%20pick%20as%20they%20allow%20the%20soil%20to%20breathe%20and%20prevent%20it%20from%20getting%20too%20damp.%20If%20the%20plant%20is%20kept%20at%20a%20location%20thatβs%20windy%20and%20warm%2C%20plastic%20pots%20will%20be%20a%20good%20pick%20as%20theyβll%20prevent%20the%20soil%20from%20drying%20out%20too%20soon.
@FullBogrhubarb opt for a smaller pot with good drainage as it encourages root growth and foliage expansion.ππΌ
@noemijane1 I agree with a smaller pot, spider plants like to be root bound.
