What is causing the leaves to brown
1ft to light, indirect
5β pot with drainage
Last watered 4 months ago
Sorry your Blushing Philodendron leaf is turning brown. There are several possible reasons:
π§Insufficient watering: Before you water your plant always use your finger to check the moisture in the soil. When you insert your index finger 1-2 inches in the soil, (1st and 2nd knuckle) and it feels dry, then your plant is telling you itβs thirsty. π When water drips from the drainage hole, then the rootball is getting hydrated.
This time of year, when our plants get less and less sun, the frequency of watering decreases. Consider getting your plant baby a moisture meter for Christmas, but your finger is a very sensitive instrument and more reliable.
πΉ Also using the furnace or air conditioner can reduce the indoor humidity and that can cause some browning on the leaves.
π I hope your plant will make a speedy recovery.
