Ok guys, Iβm getting new species that Iβm absolutely not ...
I now have philodendrons, syngonium, an alocasia, calathea and ctenanthe. My problem is fungal sprays etc. they will be sharing space with my carnivores although the delicate DERPS will be in terrariums mostly. My concern is that things like the alocasia could really do with something like neem oil. Problem is neem oil can interfere with insects natural processes and what if my carnivores eat a neem oil covered bug??? I canβt imagine thatβs healthy but all the googling tells me is donβt use neem oil on carnivoresβ¦. Anyone know any other things I can use for fungal and insect control? That are actually effective but safe to be near carnivorous plants?? This isnβt even a thing I have to deal with for my carnivores π Iβm worried I wonβt be able to have a shared room and need to keep them separated almost to the point of quarantineβ¦ thatβs a lot of work and Iβm already struggling to find enough space for everyone π

Hey @PoisonIvys!
I have pings and a sundew in a few rooms and haven't worried about this too much.
I haven't had to use fungicides, so I can't help there.
Here in the states we have Natria. It's an insecticidal spray that is not as hard as Neem but just as effective.
You can also combine Castile soap and water as a cleaner.
Rubbing alcohol directly on pests would kill them without them getting to your carnivorous plants to eat.
For flying pests you can use hydrogen peroxide in the soil to kill larvae, and sticky traps to catch adults your carnivorous plants don't catch.

@PlantMompy thanks so much!! I knew there would be a way but I havenβt kept carnivores and normal plants at the same time before so itβs not something I have thought about until now. Cuddles looks like someone tried to do a coffee bathβ¦. With half dissolved instant coffee thatβs stuck on the underside of one leaf and caused the white chemical burn. He needs a good clean and google just says Neem oil is best then I got a little lost in the science of Neem oil π
