I usually change pots when the roots start to get snug in the pot. I always go up One, size sometimes 1.5 or 2. Don't have to break up the root ball if it means destroying roots..just loosen and add new soil around. Any time a plant needs new space for roots is a good time. ( indoor plants).unless u have winterized, already. Hope this helps!
