Does anyone know what happening to my cactus?

I don’t know what’s wrong with her, her roots are squishy and look like mush, is she dying? :(
0ft to light, direct
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
It may be rotting. Take it out of the soil and let it dry
You may have overwatered it. Do you have pictures of it?
Sometimes you might be able to cut the rotten part off and grow new roots on the healthy part. Sometimes it will heal on its own
@SirLiquorice That sounds scary
@SirLiquorice here’s a pic
@SirLiquorice another one
@SirLiquorice do you know what may be wrong with her?
Take her out of that pot wash off the roots until all the squishy is gone let dry over not repot
@ZarfJade so I just leave her out in the Sun to dry?
@ZarfJade is this better?
It might be ok
Don’t put it in the soil yet
Let it dry just laying down in a slightly shaded area
If you have access to root powder or clonex rooting gel put that on the bottom. Or cinnamon
It should heal and callous over and eventually grow new roots. But don’t water it or put it in soil until there’s roots forming
Try this soil in the future. It helps avoid rot issues. https://maestro-gro.com/cactusmix.aspx
@SirLiquorice I have cinnamon do I rub that in the bottom of her?
@DevilishDark yes you can put a little cinnamon on the part that needs to heal
@DevilishDark in the future you can order clonex rooting gel which is even better. HydroDynamics Clonex Rooting Gel, 100 ml https://a.co/d/fmiotHR
But cinnamon will help prevent fungal growth and will help it heal.
@DevilishDark not n the sun in a napkin or small plate to get some air dry she should feel a little firm and try succulent soil
