I got a new plant and it has a few cuts and a hole and it lost a few leaves. What should I do ?

No need to do anything. Just put it somewhere with abundant sunlight, shade in the afternoon if the sun is too strong, water only when it needs it, make sure the soil drains well (without being hydrophobic) and the pot has holes. Other than that just let it be, it will develop more leaves.
