All of the leaves are falling, is it too much watering?

#Dracaena
5ft to light, indirect
7” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 weeks ago
@CoolVaseyoak71 Yes, that could possibly be the issue. Dracaena are drought tolerant meaning they like their soil to dry out a little in between drinks. Before watering next time get either a wooden chopstick or a wooden skewer and put it down into the soil. When you pull it back out it should be completely dry with no soil stuck to it before you water it. Kind of like putting a toothpick in the middle of a cake to make sure that it's ready there shouldn't be any soil/crumbs stuck to the stick. If it's still wet you can swipe to the left to snooze your plant and the app will bring the plant around again in a few days for you to check the soil again. The majority of the time a plants demise will be from over-watering so it's always best to err on the dry side. β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘
@CoolVaseyoak71 Also, 5.4 feet from a light source sounds a little far unless it's supplemented with a grow light. I would move it at least within 3 feet from a bright window making sure that it doesn't have the sun shining directly on the leaves. Moving it closer will also help to dry out the soil in between waterings as well.
Everything Heidi said, but also looking at your id tag- it says regular soil? If so, I would recommend a soil mixture of 60% cactus/succulent soil (I get mine at the Home Depot), and 40% Perlite. That will help aerate the soil as the don’t like wet feet. Also. dragons are sensitive to some tap water- mine is awful so I use distilled, or I put our tap in gallon milk jug and leave open for 24 hours to air out the chemicals- then I water.
