Yep, itβs totally normal. I have some too but it is a different variety, all of the leaves fall off.
At this time, after it has dropped all of its leaves you should cut it all the way back. That way it can save its energy and rest for winter. Water less at this time it does not need as much water.
Once spring arrives it will grow bigger and better than ever. You prune it all the way down to the ground so that when it starts growing again it begins at the base. I know this sounds scary but trust me your plant will thank you come spring.
