New bed and plants. One hydrangea is solid brown and dead...

Are you in a drought area? It looks thirsty to me.
@Kwanna yes but I water daily. My garden was just redone so I would think it wouldnโ€™t be a draining issue. Never seems to be dry at the base when I check
My other hydrangea 3 ft away is thriving and blooming. Not sure if misters over watered it so I cut them off for today.
@ConnectedLoquat this might be your issue, maybe.

Hydrangea leaves and flowers turn brown due to drought, excessive wind and too much sun. Hydrangea prefer to grow in sheltered areas with dappled sun, in moist soils and protected from wind. Not enough moisture around the roots causing the hydrangea leaves and flowers to wilt and turn brown.
My soil is staying damp and hydrangeas are protected by two huge trees until late afternoon. The temperature has been scorching, but Iโ€™m confused why one hydrangea 3 ft away is thriving in same environment and this is not
The heat has been triple digits all summer so I wasnโ€™t sure if exterior was struggling despite soil staying damp
