Give it a lot of bright indirect light: doppled shade, or bright light behind a sheer curtain, plus full MORNING sun. Guave needs 6 to 8 h of that light daily.

Only water when 2.5" of the top soil is dry: check with your finger or a wooden toothpick.

Brown yellow squishy leaves and big brown or black spots means too much water.
Crispy brown edges means not enough.water.
