I absolutely love this plant. The flowers are so beautiful. I'm not sure what part of the country you are in. If your season has begun to change to fall, it could be going dormant for the winter. It grows best with strong morning sun and some afternoon shade. They like their roots slightly moist. A good layer of mulch should take care of that. Good luck.
@Stall54Jo Thanks! It gets ok morning sun and no sun in the afternoon. I live in Northern California so we are heading into fall. I just don’t know what I am doing with it, so I am hoping not to kill it. We”ll see.
