Hi! I’d spray it with hydrogen peroxide and/or douse with #deathbycinnamon to help kill any bad bacteria. This sounds weird but I’d also smell the soil right there. It should smell fresh and earthy. If it smells like sewage then I’d consider changing out the soil - make sure it’s super chunky. πŸŒ±β˜€οΈβ€οΈ
@RealSimpleMama thanks so much! I actually just did the cinnamon method. I tried to remove as much of the rotted portion as possible then I covered the β€œcut” with cinnamon. I didn’t notice any unusual smell with the soil but thanks for the tip! πŸ‘
@Greenmarina yay! Honestly the photo doesn’t look too bad to me so I bet you’re ok!
@RealSimpleMama the rot only made its way through about 25% of the stem, which I was able to remove, so I hope I don’t end up having to cut it all off!🀞
