Hi! Iβd spray it with hydrogen peroxide and/or douse with #deathbycinnamon to help kill any bad bacteria. This sounds weird but Iβd also smell the soil right there. It should smell fresh and earthy. If it smells like sewage then Iβd consider changing out the soil - make sure itβs super chunky. π±βοΈβ€οΈ
@RealSimpleMama thanks so much! I actually just did the cinnamon method. I tried to remove as much of the rotted portion as possible then I covered the βcutβ with cinnamon. I didnβt notice any unusual smell with the soil but thanks for the tip! π

@RealSimpleMama the rot only made its way through about 25% of the stem, which I was able to remove, so I hope I donβt end up having to cut it all off!π€
