Is this Aloe Vera overwatered?
Help! Just posted this aloe because I hadn’t been taking care of it at all and wanted advice; unfortunately, the sun came up today and I think she’s worse off than I thought. I think I may have overwatered it/not had enough drainage when I tried to bring it back to life. If this is overwatering, what can I do to help/is it early enough? ðŸ˜
Looks like it might have been over watered. I would take it out of that pot and check the roots, if they are still in good shape and not rotting then it should be saveable.
Repotting it might also help cause that looks like a pretty dense soil. You want a nice airy soil to prevent water logging. I would use a cactus mix and add even more perlite if you can to make sure it’s really well draining. And a slightly smaller pot would also help it to not stay too wet too long

@BeccaLynn will do! Thank you so much! 😊
@maxined ): That's rot. It's hard for aloes to recover after overwatering. Be careful not to let water sit in the leaves, too - it can cause crown rot.
Repot it in cactus soil and let it rest.
They want to dry out really well and they want to be in bright, indirect light. Direct light can burn them and make them weaker.

@sarahsalith :( thanks for the info about root rot and light though!
