I don’t believe the roots could ever be too long. From what I’ve heard, waiting until there is at least three inches and then it can be repotted. Generally folks don’t wait long enough and that’s the issue. When you think about it, roots in the ground or in a pot grow indefinitely.

Also just curious - did you mean to add a photo to your post?

Edit to add - waiting too long to pot plants can cause the plant to struggle to adapt to soil, since rooting in water isn’t as strong as in soil. But you’ve been fertilizing, and I think that’s great! I would pot up most of them and see how it takes. Then if it doesn’t work out, you still have a few cuttings left to work with!
@kaleena Thank you for your response! You are right, I did forget a picture πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ hopefully this one helps clarify my question. I’m trying to understand how long my Aucuba trimmings should be to propagate. As of today, they are starting to wrinkle - I’m wondering if I may need to trim them and/or adjust the propagation medium (other than water?) Thanks!
